How to upload Sermons Part 1

Hello, Please don’t be scared how big the post is. Its big because I want it to be detailed. CALL ME if you encounter problems. Doesn’t matter if its big or small problem, just call and I can talk you through it.

  1. Firstly, you need to come to sunday service with a USB. Give your USB to the sound desk before or straight after the sermon and say thank you to them :) .  Listen carefully to what the pastor is saying, and write notes. In most cases, the pastor will focus on 1 particular bible verse. If they dont focus on a particular verse, then choose the first verse they use. Write enough notes so you put a paragraph of description about the sermon (3-6 lines). Cool?
  2. Download and install the following programs on your computer:
    1. http://www.download.com/Free-Mp3-Wma-Converter/3000-2140_4-10442362.html (6mb)
    2. http://www.download.com/Core-FTP-LE/3000-2160_4-10195752.html (3mb)
  3. Open the program Free MP3 WMA Converter. Drag your sermon from your USB into the window (like photoshop).  Set up the program using the following:
    1. Output Path: A place where your new sermon (after shrinked) will go. I recommend making a folder called “Download” somewhere.
    2. Output Format: MP3, leave this default
    3. Format Parameter: 24,000 khz, Stereo, 48kbs
    4. Once finished with the configuration and the sermon is in the window, click convert at the bottom. Your file should have decreased its file size now. From 50mb to 20mb.
  4. 1
  5. It should look like this when finished. The program doesn’t alert you when its finished. Should take about 5-10  minutes to convert.
    1. 2
  6. The next part is using the program Core Lite FTP. This is taking your new sermon (from downloads folder) and transferring into internet web space (server). You should have the following settings to log into NLCC server.
    1. www.nlcc.com.auUsername: newlifesaPassword: xxxxx (Will sms you)
    2. 3
  7. Click Connect. Then go into the following folders. wwwroot - > downloads. You will find all the previous sermons. Once there, drag and drop your new sermon into the window.
    1. 5
    2. It should take about 20-40 minutes depending on your internet speed. This process is the longest. Please do not download other things while this is uploading. It will cause the program to either crash, or be really slow.
  8. When its 100% done. Your finished part 1! You have successfully took a sermon, shrunk the size, and copied into the NLCC server. Congratulations. Your only half way!! haha.
  9. PS - Most of these settings will be saved. As you keep doing this process, its just dragging and dropping files.
