The NLCC Story
The AACC City Outreach was a congregation of the Austral-Asian Christian Church formed in downtown Adelaide in 1993. It sought to build up a congregation that would seek to worship God in Spirit and in Truth through salvation and life in Jesus Christ.
In 2000, the leaders of AACC City Outreach felt led by the Spirit to plant a new work in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide. On June 10th of that year, NLCC was officially launched, using the chapel at Hosanna Heights, Rostrevor for Sunday worship services. A short while later a residence nearby at Moules Road was used to house the youth fellowship groups(YAF), midweek prayer meetings and also serve as the Church’s administrative base. During this time, City Outreach continued its ministry in the city with a bi-lingual worship service.
The NLCC congregation soon outgrew the premises, and moved to Maylands when the opportunity presented itself for us to acquire a church building for our own use to further develop our ministry.
NLCC continues to remain under the umbrella of the AACC whilst retaining its distinctive ministry ethos, and networking with churches who shared the same precious faith as ours.
